WHAT: The Raindance Film Festival: The UK’s largest independent film festival.

WHEN: 25th Sept – 6th Oct

20 years in the running, on the year, those of the small-budget persuasion (sound familiar?) prove that you don’t have to have come to Hollywood (sorry Madonna –  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoiaglLdbNs) to make a killer film. We would like to re-name this momentous occasion The Stealers Film Festival because essentially – that’s what it is – but apparently the British Independent Film board or whatever, went with Raindance, which I guess everyone likes doing too. Anyway – this niffty meeting of minds kicks off its dancing shoes this Wednesday and the camera keeps rolling till October 6. Early evening tickets are £8.
