You have definitely seen this image before. People in the streets of India having a massive paint fight and everyone is involved. Mum, dad, granny, brothers and sisters, all taking part and it looks epic. Definitely something I’ve wanted to do but personally feared the clean-up bill.
For those of you who don’t know, this is actually part of a Hindu festival called Holi. Holi celebrates the end of winter and the beginning of Spring. Spring being the time of all things bright and wonderful means that Holi is also known as the festival of colour. So now the sun is shining and spring is in the air, why not get involved in the festivities and have a paint fight of your own.
Until the 22nd March, Cinnamon Kitchen have created a special pod in Devonshire square, known as House of Holi, where you can get involved.
Don’t worry about getting all dirty as protective clothing will be provided. But be wary that a little paint may get through
