WHAT: King Lear at the Belarus Free Theatre

I’ve heard it’s brilliantly cut, sharp and the tempest scene features poor King Lear getting drenched by his fellow cast on a tarp. This bold theatre group is known for their bravery – they have to hold their rehersals in secret in Belarus and we get to witness the glorious outcome of their efforts, its a real spectacle. The Guardian and Financial Times have both give it super thumbs up – “energetic… extraordinary… charming” (The Guardian)
